New Bike: Robot Bike Co R160

3D printing technology comes as new impressive technology. It can be used to printed anything, even foods. Mountain biking sport, as one of the most growing sport scene in the world also gets its first 3D bike when Empire and Renishaw printed a bike, a titanium bike few years ago. And now, with some partnership, Renishaw, HiETA, and Altair, a new bike is born. A new bike called Robot, and their new product, the Robot CoR160.

One of the most impressive feature of this bike is the fact that its geometry can be adjusted to any riders size, even the riding style. Robot Co R160 comes with DW6 suspension system, pretty similar with the system used in Iron Horse MkIII.

  1. So it's not particularly light, it's expensive and it's nothing new design-wise... seems like yet another "let's 3d print it because we can" type exercise. Surely if you're 3D printing something you could do something innovative, new shapes, new designs - things you couldn't do before 3D printing?
